这是我第一次翻译东西，真的只能挑些简单的来翻了，因为此时恰好遇见kanon的同人，想把它的中译版做出来，所以就出来了，如果翻译有不妥之处，请大家指出，谢谢。

To remember, to forget

这样记起，这样忘记

I was dreaming,

我做着一个梦

A small town, snowy town,

一个小镇，下雪的小镇

The winter town 9 years ago,

9年前的这冬日的小镇

But why I’m dreaming?

但是我为什么会梦起

Did I leave something important there? I can’t remember.

难道我在这里有什么重要的回忆？我无从记起。

The only thing that’s left in my mind is an over-active girl’s figure.

但是那个不断摇晃的女孩子的身影却残留心中。

Why can’t I recall the rest?

After a long nine years, Yuri DeMenchevarrived at a small town. He waited on a bench just outside the station. It’sthe middle of December. The snow was falling down quietly.

漫长的九年后， 相泽佑一再次来到了这个小镇。他孤身坐在车站外的长椅上等待。此时正值12月中旬。飘落雪花如此静谧。

“She’s late.” Yurisaid to himself.

“她晚了啊。”佑一自顾说道。

“Watch out your mouth!” a very angry voicehad come from behind, “I waited for you for over 2 hours and you are saying that I was late?”

“你说什么！”一个恼怒的声音从后面传来，“我都等了两个小时了而你却说我晚来了?"

“You are same as always, Elle.” Yuri smiled, and turns his head around in an extraordinary angle.

"你总是如此，名雪。"佑一笑道，并且将头转过一个恰好的角度。

There is a girl just standing behind thebench, with snow covering the surface of her clothes. She’s Yuri’s childhood friend, Elle Sanders.

一个女孩就正站在他的长椅之后，雪在她的大衣外套上盖上薄薄一层。她就是佑一儿时的伙伴，水濑名雪。

Yuriwas sitting in Elle's home

佑一稍后来到了名雪的家里做客

a while later, In otherwords, Yuri’s home stay. The owner ofthe house is Elle’s mother, Sarah Sanders. Elle’s father is not at home veryoften since he is currently working in Russia.

说白了，佑一就是把这里当成家了。房主兼名雪的母亲是秋子阿姨而名雪的父亲自从在俄罗斯工作后就很少在家。

Elle is sitting on the sofa now, sayingnothing to Yuri.

名雪现在正坐在沙发上，看起来不想理佑一。

“Elle, forgive Yuri,It’s your fault that you were playing hide and seek with him.” said Sarah.

“名雪。就原谅佑一吧，谁叫你跟他玩捉迷藏呢”秋子说道。

“Doesn’t he remember that I often wait forhim behind him?” Elle still seems angry.

“难道他忘了我经常在他身后等他吗？”名雪看起来相当恼怒、

“Well,well. I have forgotten too much while I was away. Of course I forgot thingslike that.”

“好了，好了。在我离开的时候我忘记的实在太多了。当然了这种小事我也早忘了。”

“OK,I will forgive you but ONLY this time.” Elle smiles.

“那好，那我这只有次原谅你。”名雪笑道。

Amoment later, Elle and Yuri arewalking on the shopping street of the town. Yuriasked: “Is the city as same as it was 9 yearsago?”

“过了一会，名雪和佑一在小镇的商店街上漫步。此时佑一问道：“小镇还如九年前一样吗？”

“Youreally didn’t remember?” Elle asked, as she was shocked.

“你真的不会什么都忘了吧？”名雪问道，她好像大受打击。

“Iforgot everything there including…”

“我忘记了一切包括....”

Atthat time, another girl’s voice had shattered through the wind.

就在这时，一个女孩的声音大叫着破风而来。

“Hey!You there! Let Emily pa~ss~”

“嘿，那儿的人！让雅由过去~~~~啊，唔咕！"

Yuri turns his face and founda girl who is wearing a thick jacket charging right at him. At the same timeElle made a small hop sideways to avoid the girl.

当佑一转过脸时发现了一个穿着粗呢外套的女孩向他的右面冲了过来。此时名雪轻巧的跳向了一边躲避着这个女孩。

“Whatare you doing?! Emily can’t stop!” Thesound is nearer and nearer, and…

CRASH!

”你在做什么啊？！雅由停不下来了，唔咕！”那声音越来越近，最后

Afterthe comical sound, Yuri was totally faceddown to the snow. And another body was on him.

“磅”的一声过后，佑一完全脸朝下压到了雪上。并且还一个有身子也压在他的身上。

“Emily told you to avoid her. She had already warned you, why don’t you dodge?” The voice becomes smaller “Wait…, are you DeMenchev?Yuri DeMenchev?”

“雅由早就告诉你要避开我得说。我早就发出警告了，你咋没能轻轻的避开呢，唔咕？”但是这声音却越来越小“等等。。。。你是相泽？相泽佑一？”

Yuri tried to sit up, but hecan’t do that since the strange-talking girl is right above him. So he said “YesI am. Could you get up first?”

佑一努力抽身做起来，但那个胡言乱语的女孩正好坐在他的身上他怎么也起不了。所以他说道："是啊，是我，我说你能不能先起来下先？”

Tenminutes later. Elle and Yuri are sitting on a bench nearby with the strange girl. Elle tried to ask Yuri about the girl, but gave up when she saw Yuri’s eyes.

10分中后。名雪和佑一同那个奇怪的女孩一起坐在长椅上。名雪试着问佑一关于这个女孩的事情，但是当她看到佑一的眼神的时候便放弃了。

Yuri tried to break the silenceby asking who the strange girl is:

佑一为了打破这份沉闷的气氛而问起来这个奇怪的女孩:

“Youseemed to know me, but I’m sorry I had forgotten what had happened 9 years ago. You are?”

"你好想知道我，但是很抱歉我忘了九年前的所有事情。你是？？”

“Oh,I see. Emily’s name is Emily Granger.If Yuri really forgotten.” The strangegirl introduced herself at last. “And this is Elle? I had been to your homeseveral times, but you weren’t here…”

“哦。我明白了。雅由的名字是月宫雅由。如果佑一真的忘了的话。”最后这个奇怪的女孩开始介绍起她自己来。“恩，这个是名雪吧？我曾经去过你家很多次，但是你都不在啊......."

“…Becauseat that time I’m staying with my dad in Russia.” Elle said.

"....因为那时候我和父亲一起待在俄罗斯的”名雪说道。

“Andwhat’s with your talking style…”

“我说你的说话方式。。。。。"

“Yuri has been so rude! Emilywas asked the exactly same question 9 yearsago! That’s when we first met!”

”佑一你太无礼了！雅由早在九年前就被你清清楚楚的问过了！那还是我们第一次见面的时候呢！”

“OK,if you insist.” Yuri gave up the question;maybe I really forgot these things.

“好吧，假如你这样认为的话。”佑一放只好作罢；心想也许我真的忘了吧。

"You live alone, right? I knew that from my mother."

“你自己一个人住,对吗?我是从我妈妈那里听说的。”

"Yeah, Emily'sparents are all working in travel agencies so they had to travel to differenceplaces every day. SoI live alone."

“是的，雅由的父母全部都在旅行社工作所以每天都要去不同的地方。所以我总是一个人住。”

At home, Sarah asked Emily if she had any plans for Christmas, after asmall family meeting they decided to have Emilyin Sander's Christmas party.

回到家后，秋子问雅由有没有什么圣诞节的打算，经过小小的家庭会议讨论后他们决定让雅由成为圣诞聚会的一员。

"That will make a better atmosphere for Christmas."said Sarah.

“这样圣诞节气氛就会更好的。”秋子说到。

"Yes, Emily is very glad to hear that."

“是的，雅由也会很高兴的。”

"Yuri, don't youmind going to buy something for Christmas with Emilytomorrow? I believeshe will be very happy since you are her old-time-friend." said Sarah.

“佑一，你明天不介意跟雅由去买些圣诞节的东西吗？我想她跟你这个老-朋-友一块去的话肯定会很高兴的说。”秋子说道。

"What about Elle, then?” Yuriasked, "It's unfair for me if ‘another friend’ didn't go!"

“那名雪干嘛啊，恩?”佑一问道，“这对我太不公平了假如“另一个朋友”也不去的话！”

"You can make her go with you if you can drag her up frombed tomorrow morning."

“你也可以试试让她跟你去啊如果你明天早上能把她从床上叫醒的话。”

"I'll try." Yurithought it would be a good chance for him to regain memories.

“我当然会的。”佑一觉得这是一个重拾记忆的好机会。

The next day, Yurifinally recalls that Elle is the kind of girl that can't be waked up by others.He realizes that after a try of more than 30 minutes.

第二天，佑一终于想起名雪是那号绝对不会被叫醒的人，但是这却用了在30分钟。

And heregrets forgetting the memory because drag Elle up from bed is totally a wasteof time.

并且他后悔忘了这回事因为把名雪从床上拉起来根本就是浪费时间嘛。

While on the way to the shop, Yuriasks Emily: "What will you do ifyou had lost your memory?"

当在去商店的路上的时候，佑一问道雅由：“如果失去了记忆你会怎样?"

"Emily will make newmemories of happiness."

“雅由将会再去创造新的快乐的记忆，唔咕。”

"Do you remember anything that happened to me 9 yearsago?"

“那你还记不记得九年前发生的什么吗？”

Emily said nothing andquickly changed the subject. “Hey, do you remember there is a very good shop around there which sell sawe some, marvelous, fantastic chocolate sundaes?”

雅由在此没了声响并且很快的转移了话题。“我说，你还记不记得有一个很不错的卖各种各样的sawe，还有稀奇古怪的巧克力圣代冰激凌的店，唔咕？”

She knows something. Yurithought. But instead he said:

她肯定知道些什么吧。佑一想，但是他却说：

“Don’tmessing up with the adjectives, will you?”

“我说话你啊，不要老想一些不着边的事，我说？”

“Or what doyou want to buy for Emily and Elle for Christmas?”

“那么你想为雅由和名雪买些什么圣诞礼物呢，唔咕？”

“DO NOT INGORE ME!” Yuri found his word haveno effect on Emily.

“喂，不要忽视我！"佑一对雅由说的话看来一点用都没。

After awhile, they arrived to the shop, and they went different direction to buypresents.

过了一会，他们到了商店并在店里四处转转买圣诞礼物、

Weeks flew past quick. Soon it's the party time, the ChristmasEve.

时光飞逝。很快这圣诞夜的聚会时间就匆匆到来。

That night,all of The Sanders, including Yuri DeMenchev and Emily Granger,gathered together in the hall on the second floor of the house. In the hallthere is a big Christmas tree. Yuriwonders how a woman and a girl (Yurinever bought any Christmas trees into the house.) can manage to get the treeinto the house.

这个晚上，所有的成员，包括相泽佑一和月宫雅由，都聚在家里第二层的大厅。大厅里有一个很大的圣诞树，佑一怀疑那对母女是怎样把圣诞是搬进家里的。（佑一记得他没买圣诞树啊！）

“Well, timefor your Christmas dinner, after the dinner we’ll exchange our presents.” said Sandy.

“好了，现在享用圣诞晚餐吧，晚餐过后我们可是要相互交换礼物的哟。”秋子说道

While theyare eating, Emily asked: “Do youreally want to have the memories back, even though it’s not that important?”

当他们用餐的时候，雅由问道:"你真的想要记起来那些事吗？就算它不是那般重要？”

“Well, I wantit back because I can’t stand myself being a person with no past.”

“恩，我之所以想要记起那些是因为我不能容忍我竟然没有过去。”

“Why concernabout past? Emily has a theory, allthe things we did, are all prearranged by someone. They type our story out and release it to other people. Under their cursor, there is no past, only todayand tomorrow. That’s why you can hear somebody comments the life was just likedream. But even we are created by someone; they have their own memories aswell. They use their memories to create us. What we can do is to create our ownfuture. It’s easy if you live today and tomorrow as a fullest.”

“为什么那么执着于过去？雅由是这样想的，我们所做过的所有事情，都是经过某人的事先安排的。他们描绘了剧本并且向他人展示。在他们的笔触之下，过去不复存在，只有今日与明天。那就是你为什么总是听到别人抱怨生活如梦的说。就算我们是被造物主所造;他们也也有他们自己的记忆。他们用全知创造了我们。而我们所能做的一切只能是去创造我们的未来。如果你每一天都活得很充实你就会发现生活是如此简单。”

“Then whatabout the people who created us?” asked Yuricasually.

“那么创造出我们的那些人们又怎样呢？”佑一反问。

“Their storywould be written by others, as well.” replied Emily.

“他们的人生也会将会被其他人所描绘。”雅由应道。

“And weshould say “Happy Christmas” to them, since they are probably in Christmas too.Emily will do that first.”

“然后呢我们还应该向他们说声“圣诞节快乐”，因为也许他们也许也在过圣诞节啊。雅由可是会先这样做的偶。“

Then she cleared her throat.

然后她清了清嗓子。

“You people watching us, Happy Christmas!” Emilysaid cheerfully.

“看你们一直注视着我们的份上，祝你们圣诞节快乐！”雅由看起来相当高兴。

What a crazyidea, thought Yuri.

多么扯啊，佑一想到。

“What are youtalking about? I can’t understand a single word!” Elle asks Yuri.

“你们在说什么啊？我一个字都不能理解的说!"名雪问佑一。

“Neithercould I. It seems Emily is the type of people who never cares about HER past.”

“我也是啊。不过看起来雅由就是那种从不关心自己过去的人。”

“Maybe shedidn’t have one.” Sandy overheard her daughter’s dialogue and said.

“好像她不是呢。”秋子无意中听到她的女儿的话说。

“It'snot a regular joke that can say in front of Emily.”Yuri smiled.

“这可不是一个能在雅由面前能开的好玩的笑话啊。”佑一笑着说。

They continue have their dinner happily. Yuridecided to let go of the unreal dream and memories and welcome the real life.

他们继续着着快乐的晚餐。佑一决定忘记这不真切的梦与记忆并去迎接真实的生活。

Happy timesalways come fast, soon the party was over. Yuriand Elle will walk Emily home.

欢乐的时光总是匆匆而过，聚会就这样结束了。佑一和名雪决定一块走路送雅由回家。

“Hey, wheredo you live?” asked Yuri.

“我说，你住哪儿啊？”佑一问道。

“It’s not any important, since you won’t visit me too often if you take my advice.”

“那并不重要，就算你知道了你也不会再频繁的见到我。”

“It seems so.”Yuri sighed.

“也是。”佑一随后叹了口气。

“It will beOK there.” Emily suddenly stops. Theyhad arrived at the bench where Yuriwaited for Elle (or vice versa) some days before.

“送到这里就行了。”雅由突然停了下。他们此时来到了前几天佑一等名雪的那个长椅旁。

“So, see you.Yuri.” Emilywalked into the darkness beyond the station. Soon her figure was disappeared.

“哪么，再见了。佑一。”雅由走进了车站的那片阴影。很快的她的身影就消失了。

Is that my feelingthat she won’t show up again? Yurithought. And went back home with Elle.

那是我的幻觉吗？我总是觉得她不会再在我的面前出现。佑一想着。随后便跟着名雪回了家。

Elle’s homewas in their sight and Sarah is standing under a lamp post, waiting for them.

当名雪的家出现在他们的视野时侯发现秋子阿姨就站在油箱旁的路灯下等着他们。

"It better remains this way." said Yuri, suddenly.

“就这样最好。”佑一突然说道。

“Whatdid you just said?” asks Elle surprisingly.

“你刚才说什么来着？”名雪惊疑的问道。

“Imean, why am I so concerned with the past? Can’t I live today and tomorrow as afullest?”

“我是说，我为什么老是在意我的过去？难道我就不能充实的去度过每一天吗?"

“Maybethat’s better for you.” said Sarah, “It’s better of you not to care about the past.”

“也许这样对你来说更好吧。”秋子说道，“但是你最好还是不要再去执着于过去了。”

“Whoknows?” Yuri replied with a smile. And look at the starry sky.

“谁知道呢?”佑一笑了笑抬头仰望那布满星光的天空。

Yes,live your life for tomorrow. Not for yesterday, that’s what Emily tried to tell, right?

是的，为了你的明天，而非昨天而活。也许那就是雅由想要告诉我的吧，不是吗？

Yuri thought so.

佑一如此想。

“Let’sgo, Elle.”

“我们走吧。名雪。”

Theirshadows drop under the long streets.

只见在长长的街上投下了的只有他们的身影。
